Hikkaduwa Beach – Party Central

A tourism and surfing hot spot for over 25 years, ‘Hikka’ located on the South coast was founded by the hippie communities of the 60s. Perfect for chilling and surfing, Hikka is loved for its consistent waves and relaxing ambience. Look forward to sipping a thambili under the shade of a towering palm when you’re not surfing. A great town to hit while exploring Galle and Ahangama.

The Beach is very picturesque and long, it’s well serviced by a bevy of restaurants and beach bars. Surfing is a treat with plenty of beach break walls to tackle, ideal if you are still learning the ropes. These breaks form slowly and glide lazily towards the shore. Again, October to April is the best time for surfing here. The south is ‘hot’, so do as above and get there prepared.
